Service / Brand Identity

A logo is one piece. You get
the system.

Logo and brand identity design for growing businesses, start-ups and brands that need a refresh. Built from your story and ready for everywhere it has to live, from the first hat to the storefront sign.

Who it's for

Built for businesses
on the way up.

01

Growing businesses

You've outgrown the logo you made at the start. The business is real now, and the brand needs to catch up to it.

02

Start-ups

You're opening the doors and want to look established on day one, not five years from now.

03

Refreshes

The bones are good, but it's dated or all over the place. We keep what works and rebuild what doesn't.

One designer, start to finish. You work with me from the first call to the final files.

Why I do this

I love story. I love seeing vision come to life, and knowing the real meaning behind why people do what they do.

This lets them focus on their product or business, and gives me the reins to visually make it speak to their audience.

What's included

Everything the brand needs
to fly.

  • Brand strategy session

Your story, your audience and your competition, before anything gets drawn.

  • Primary mark and lockups

Horizontal, stacked and small-size versions, so the logo fits every space it lands in.

  • Monogram or icon

For hats, social avatars, favicons and anywhere space is tight.

  • Colour and type

Colour codes for screen, print and thread, and type that sounds like you.

  • Patterns and illustration

Supporting graphics that make the brand recognisable even when the logo isn't there.

  • Brand guidelines

The rules in plain language, so you, your staff and your printer use it right.

  • Production-ready files

Every file your printer, embroiderer and sign shop will ask for.

How it works

The
Hoist.

  1. 01

    Measure

Your story, your people and where you're headed. Then we map every place the brand has to fly before anything gets drawn.

  2. 02

    Cut

We decide what sets you apart, how it should look and sound, and lock in one direction before design starts.

  3. 03

    Stitch

Sketches become marks, built at their smallest size first and then scaled up. If it works on a hat, it works on a billboard.

  4. 04

    Proof

Tested on mockups of your real applications, with embroidery, one-colour and small-size checks.

  5. 05

    Fly

Every file, colour and rule packaged so you, your printer and your embroiderer can use it without guessing.

A full identity takes 8 to 12 weeks from the first conversation to final files.

Questions

Brand Identity
questions.

How much does a logo or brand identity cost?

Every project is quoted, because every project is different. A refresh that keeps your mark is a different job from a full identity built from scratch.

Fill out the Start a Project form and you'll get a quote and scope of work within one business day.

How long does a brand identity take?

8 to 12 weeks from the first conversation to final files. If you have an opening date or a launch, tell me up front and we'll plan backwards from it.

Do I need a full brand identity or just a logo?

If the brand is going on more than a business card, you need the system. A logo on its own leaves you guessing every time something new needs designing.

Not sure? Tell me what you have coming up on the Start a Project form and I'll tell you honestly what you need.

Can you refresh my logo instead of starting over?

Yes. Some refreshes keep the mark and build the system around it. Some clean up the mark so it holds up on apparel and signage. Some start over. We decide in the first step, after I've seen what you have.

Do you only work with businesses in Saskatoon?

No. I'm based in Warman, just outside Saskatoon, and I work with clients all across the world over calls and email.
